Ottawa Baffin Nunavut Health Services (OBNHS) is a not-for-profit organization that coordinates specialist and tertiary health care for residents of the Qikiqtaaluk (Baffin) Region of Nunavut referred to Ottawa for treatment.

Our interpreters are available 24hrs a day 7 days a week to provide translation services to our patients. Please contact our scheduling coordinator at 613-523-7822 ext 114 between 0800hrs-1600hrs. If you require an interpreter after hours please contact the on-call case manager at (613) 364-5184 and an interpreter will be arranged.
OHSNI/OBNHS is responsible for booking all medical appointments for residents of the Baffin/ Qikiqtaaluk region of Nunavut. Our team ensures that the Medical Travel staff in Iqaluit and Communities are aware of the appointments so that the appropriate travel arrangements are made for the patient.
OHSNI/OBNHS works with specialists in Ottawa to create week long clinics throughout the year that are run at the Qikiqtani General hospital in Iqaluit. This allows patients to see and receive care from specialists closer to home in a timely manner. A specialty clinic coordinator works with the physicians, RN’s and technicians in Ottawa and coordinates with the specialty clinic staff in Iqaluit to ensure travel and timing is coordinated.
